Join Us - Club Tour of C-SPAN on october 14
Greetings, Cleveland Club Members.
Zach Lowe, a Club member who grew up in Cortland, Ohio, is offering to show Cleveland Club Members around his workplace, C-SPAN, which is located on Capitol Hill in the Hall of States Building at North Capitol and E Streets, NW.
C-SPAN is a private nonprofit public affairs media organization providing Americans with unfiltered access to government proceedings. It was created in 1979 as a public service by the cable television industry and is primarily funded through fees paid by cable, satellite television, and streaming companies that provide the C-SPAN Networks to subscribers.
On Tuesday, October 14 beginning at 12:30PM, go behind-the-scenes at C-SPAN with Zach to see how the organization operates. Zach, who is C-SPAN's Education Resource Senior Specialist, is a graduate of Lakeview High School (2010) in Cortland and holds a B.A. from the University of Akron and a Ph.D. from Tiffin University. A former social studies teacher, Zach joined C-SPAN in 2021 where he designs curricular materials for middle and high school classrooms using the network's coverage of Congress and public affairs.
